No official word has been released by University leaders on why Holsinger stepped away in the first place.

In his 4th season, Holsinger accumulated a 66-50 record as technically the last 6 games with Acting Head Coach Nate Harris falling under Holsinger's overall record.

Last season, Holsinger led the Lady Griz to their most wins (23) without legendary coach Robin Selvig. The Lady Griz also made their first postseason tournament appearance since Selvig retired. Montana went 1-1 in the WNIT after capturing their first Big Sky Conference Tournament victory since the tourney moved to Boise in 2021.

This season, Montana mustered up a 5-3 record after Holsinger stepped down with their three losses coming against the Big Sky Conference's best teams in Idaho, Montana State and Northern Arizona.

The Lady Griz return to action this Thursday evening at Idaho State and Saturday afternoon at Weber State.
