
BREAKING: Montana Lady Griz Head Coach Brian Holsinger “Is Taking Personal Time Off”
Head Coach of the Montana Lady Griz Brian Holsinger is no longer acting head coach of the Lady Griz program effective immediately.
It was first reported by Kyle Hansen and Montana Sports early Thursday morning.
It was confirmed by an email from Associate Athletic Director of Marketing and Communications at the University of Montana Nic Hallisey. In an email, Hallisey said:
Brian Holsinger, head women's basketball coach, is taking personal time off. In the interim, associate head coach Nate Harris will direct the program. -Hallisey at 9:33 am on Thursday, January 16th
Hansen also tweeted out a state meant from UM Director of Strategic Communications Dave Kuntz.
That is all the information I have learned about the situation. The rest is rumors or speculation.

Holsinger was in his fourth season as Lady Griz head coach. He accumulated a 61-47 record at the University and is 83-83 all-time dating back to his days as head coach of Montana Tech. Holsinger is the 2nd all-time winningest head coach in the Lady Griz program behind only hall of famer Robin Selvig with 865 wins.
The Lady Griz are 5-10 overall this year, 1-3 in Big Sky play and are on a 3-game losing streak. They play Weber State tonight at 7 pm.
