Little League Dreams Crushed Again for Montana
The Little League World Series in iconic Williamsport, PA, returns soon.
The energetic tournament runs from August 13 to 24.
Unfortunately, Montana will, once again, NOT be featured.
Montana's Little League representative, Billings, was bounced from the Mountain Region Little League Tournament in San Bernardino, CA.
Fun fact: Grizzly Football TV announcer Trey Bender is on the call of the Mountain Region Tournament on the ESPN family.
Wyoming ended the dreams of the young Montanans by defeating them twice in four days. The final nail was delivered on Tuesday when Wyoming topped Montana 4-2 in the elimination bracket.
Montana has just one appearance in Williamsport, and it was in 2011. The team from Billings, Big Sky Little League, that year placed 3rd, going 3-1 in the LLWS.
Big Sky had wins over South Dakota, Louisiana and California before dropping the U.S. Championship game in a rematch versus California.
