No need to worry about the 2024 Montana Grizzly Football season. The schedule is locked in and you'll get plenty of chances to catch the Griz at Washington-Grizzly Stadium. Here's this year's full schedule:

  • Aug 31 VS Missouri State
  • Sep 7 @ North Dakota
  • Sep 14 VS Morehead State
  • Sep 21 VS Western Carolina
  • Sep 28 @ Eastern Carolina
  • Oct 5 VS Weber State
  • Oct 12 VS Northern Arizona
  • Oct 26 @ Northern Colorado
  • Nov 2 @ Cal Poly
  • Nov 9 VS UC Davis
  • Nov 16 VS Portland State
  • Nov 23 @ Montana State

Outside of the Cats game, I'm looking forward to the two top-25 non-conference matchups. Western Carolina, a tough team out of the SoCon, and North Dakota.

This year's schedule is safe but next year will appear different than when it was originally published.

Bye Bye, Mo State

According to fbsschedules.com, Montana and Missouri State canceled their 2026 meeting in Springfield. Both sides agreed upon the cancellation with the stipulation that "Montana has agreed to pay Missouri State $150,000 for canceling the game."

Earlier this year, Missouri State announced they would make the jump to the FBS level beginning in 2026. The Bears will play in Conference USA with the likes of Liberty, Sam Houston, Jacksonville State and others.

Welcome, Incarnate Word

FBS Schedules also broke the news that the Montana Grizzlies scheduled a home-and-home series against the University of Incarnate Word Cardinals in 2028 and 2029. The Griz will travel to San Antonio first on September 9, 2028. The following year UIW travels to Missoula on September 8, 2029.

UIW has been a powerhouse in the Southland Conference going 31-9 over the last four seasons and a 16-1 record at home.
