Have you heard about this silly little game going on this weekend in Bozeman? Something about Griz-Cat, a trip to the FCS National Championship game, and the biggest sporting event in the history of Montana? I don't know about it. I haven't been paying attention.

He said sarcastically.

Open Letter to Griz Fans Going To Bozeman

Congratulations to those who were fortunate enough to secure a ticket to this weekend's Brawl of the Wild game. It's going to be an awesome environment. If the Griz win, it's going to be an all-time celebration. If the Griz lose, well, at least you can say you were still at the biggest sporting event in Montana history.

I have one tip for you if you are making your way to Bozeman today or tomorrow...

EMBRACE THE VILLAIN ROLE

You will be booed at, chirped at, and possibly flipped off at. Embrace the hell out of being the bad guy on Saturday. Have fun with it, laugh it off, but let's not take it to the point of throwing fists at the opposition, ok?

Last year, when Montana State beat up on the Grizzlies in Bozeman, I received several middle fingers and a "go f*** yourself" from a handful of Cats fans. I'm just the dork with the headset on the sideline for the radio broadcast, and fans still wanted to let me know they thought I was scum of the Earth.

I like the verbal abuse, to be honest. It's fun! It's what makes college football rivalries better than any other sport.

Bottom line: You will be berated. You will be yelled at. God forbid we lose, you will hear the trash talking all the way back to your car. Keep your emotions in check

Go Griz.
