It may be the dead of winter, but that doesn't mean we can't have some wet and wild fun. A sport that just about anyone can participate in. A sport that doesn't require any real physical skill, like swimming. A sport that I feel like I have been training for my whole life. I'm talking about the Winter Innertube Water Polo League.

First, let me share with you a fun story about the time I got introduced to water polo. I was visiting a friend in Long Beach, CA. We decided we needed an adult beverage, and bellied up to a local bar. While at the bar, I approached an attractive girl to say, "Hello." I introduced myself as "KC from Montana." She introduced herself and said she was an athlete at UC Santa Barbara. She said she was on a scholarship for water polo. As any ignorant Montana guy would, I replied "how do the horses not drown in the water?" Needless to say, we were friends for the rest of the evening.

Now, water polo does not require horses. And, innertube water polo does not require much swimming. In fact, it doesn't require much more than just having fun.
