The celebration is on.

(At least until when the team has to reset next week in Boise for the conference tournament)

The Montana Grizzlies secured their 24th Big Sky Conference Championship (combined regular season and postseason titles) Monday night at home with an 83-72 win over Eastern Washington.

It's the first title since 2019 for the Montana Grizzlies and the 4th under Travis DeCuire in 11 seasons.

For Coach DeCuire, it was a special evening on multiple fronts. Of course, anytime you win a championship it marks a huge milestone, but DeCuire saw his own personal milestone broken by longtime player Brandon Whitney.

Whitney broke the record previously set by his head coach Travis DeCuire on an epic bucket late in the game. Here's how it sounded on the Grizzly Radio Network.

Chills. What a moment. Hear from Coach DeCuire in the postgame show below.

Finally, we get to the celebration. The Grizzly social media team did a fantastic job documenting the epic night with on-court celebrations and locker room hoorahs.

Next up: The Big Sky Conference Tournament. Montana will play the winner of the 7/8 seeded matchup between Northern Arizona & Eastern Washington. The Griz will play on Sunday, March 9th at 8 pm.
