See These Weekend Events Before Montana WX Chases You Indoors!
It's starting to get late in the game for outdoor events in Montana if your not counting Football games or Ice Fishing. Fall is a great time to enjoy Big Sky Country when we get a decent few days! But you can't always count on when the weather is going to flip and put a halt to all the outdoor events and run us indoors for the season. So here are a few ideas for us to shake off the "I didn't do ANYTHING this summer" dribble and check out these weekend events around the state, and take a quick trip before the Montana weather shuts you down.
Helena- 1st Annual Waking the Giant Demolition Derby. Saturday, September 17th at 1 pm. Spectator Gates open at 11 am. It will be held at the Last Chance Raceway on York Rd. Watch where you park your car! Just kidding. $10 Entry Fee.
Fall Festival 2022. Lewis & Clark City Park Belgrade. Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm.
There will be a parade, free BBQ, craft vendors in the park, inflatables for the kids, and a car show. Event by Belgrade Chamber of Commerce.
Missoula's 4th annual Climate & Clean Energy Expo. Saturday, September 17th at Caras Park from 10 am to 2 pm. Best of all it’s free and family-friendly! Local solar installers, and sustainability and climate organizations & businesses, educational programs also an electric bike & car show, kids activities.
The 24th Annual Miles City Bluegrass Festival at the Eastern Montana Fairgrounds. It happens every 3rd weekend in September in case you forgot. Kicks off Friday night at 7 pm-September 16th, 17th & 18th Event by Miles City Area Chamber of Commerce.
Championship Night at Mission Valley Super Oval. Saturday, 17th at 6 pm. Great racing to close out the 2022 Season on Championship Night! See the legendary Miss Montana as she lands at Yellowstone Airport - WYS on Saturday, September 17th from 8 am-Noon. The stopover is to help out Miss Montana to Normandy & Beyond who have been responsible for getting the plane flying and over the Atlantic, well, if you don’t know the story you should check it out or definitely go see her! Loads of FREE stuff to do. Free Pancake Breakfasts, Free Kids Helicopter Rides. Miss Montana Movie. Yes! 100% of every dollar donated supports our effort to keep Miss Montana in the air.

NAMIWalks Your Way 2022. Wrap up the weekend trek on Sunday, September 18th from noon till 3 pm at Silver Park, 700 Cregg Lane in Missoula. A great community walk to inspire all of us and raise awareness of access to mental health resources. Music by local bands, t-shirts, and NAMI "swag bags" will be available.
