There's an old saying in baseball...

"There are 162 games in a season. Every team is gonna win 54 games, every team is gonna lose 54 games. It's what you do with the other 54 games that really matters."

The reigning Pioneer League Champion Missoula Paddleheads, with less than two weeks left in their 2022 season, now have a better winning percentage than ANY team in professional baseball. Yes, that includes the Major Leagues:

"Best record in baseball" is an amazing accomplishment, and we have the stats are on our side to back up the claim. Records compiled from MLB, MiLB, and MLB Partner Independent Leagues all confirm that as of August 30, the Paddleheads winning percentage is better than all of them (.711)

Winning percentage is calculated by dividing the amount of games played by the team's total wins. As of this writing, the boys from Zootown boast a winning percentage better than even the Los Angeles Dodgers, the best team in Major League Baseball:

What other sites won't tell you is that the Paddleheads are also winning more games than the best team in Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball league. The Tokyo Yakult Swallows have only managed to win 69 games out of 117 total played (.595)

The Paddleheads are also chasing more history. They can become the 1st team to repeat as PBL champions since the 1995/1996 Helena Brewers, as well as possibly becoming the first team in league history to have the best record for 4 consecutive half-seasons.
