Well, that didn't take long. Less than 24 hours after the Montana Grizzlies season ended in Brookings at the hands of South Dakota State, Griz quarterback Logan Fife announced he is entering the transfer portal.

There's a good chance a different quarterback will come in, but If the Griz don't find another quarterback in the portal, Ah Yat will be joined by Kadin Huot, who made his collegiate debut earlier this season against Moorhead State, Luke Flowers and Gage Sliter, both haven't played a collegiate game. There are no incoming freshman QBs.

This is the college football world we live in, my friends. That's back-to-back years the Grizzlies lost at least one starting quarterback. Two starters departed last year - Clifton McDowell and Sam Vidlak. McDowell originally intended on Temple before landing at McNeese State. The former Big Sky Conference Newcomer of the Year played in 6 games with the Cowboys racking up 12 total touchdowns before losing his season to injury.

Sam Vidlak wound up at Stephen F Austin - his fourth school (Oregon State, Boise State, Montana, SFA). Vidlak produced 27 touchdowns to just 4 interceptions with the Lumberjacks.

Good luck, Logan.
