KGRZ’ “The Daily Drive” Is Loaded With Great Interviews Next Week

This Monday, August 19th KGRZ launches its new show "The Daily Drive With Ace Sauerwein." The new show will feature everything you need and want to know about the University of Montana Grizzlies. Interviews, analysis and previews of all Griz sports - football, volleyball, soccer, cross country, basketball, softball and track and field.

The show starts with a murderer's row of guests.

Monday: Griz Football Head Coach Bobby Hauck

It starts with the biggest name in Montana Athletics. The all-time winningest head coach in Big Sky Conference history starts his 13th year at Montana this season. The kid from Big Timber will chat about his summer endeavors. Our guess is he spent 90% of it fishing.

Tuesday: Griz Football Public Address Announcer

He's one of the hardest-working and nicest guys you'll find. Peter Christian is nearing three decades as the in-house Voice of The Griz. He'll hop across the hall to share his origin story of how he became the PA announcer and how he came up with his coveted "First down.... MONTANA" idea.

Wednesday: Griz great Sammy Akem

My co-host on the Grizzly Football Pre and Post-game Sammy Akem will drop by the studio to break down the Griz' very talented receiver core. The former USFL wide receiver always brings charisma and hard-hitting analysis.

Thursday: The Griz Fan Pod (Brint Wahlberg, Mike Nugent and Kyle Sample)

They are some of the biggest Griz fans you can find. Brint, Mike and Kyle are in-studio on Thursday to hold an "All-Time Griz Greats" draft with the Voice of the Griz Riley Corcoran. The four Montanans will pick their all-time greats and you decide who drafted the best team.

Friday: Griz Football Tight Ends Evan Shafer and Erik Barker

Each day of the week will be dedicated to a football position group. Monday will break down the quarterbacks, Tuesday the runningbacks, Wednesday the receivers, Thursday the offensive lineman and Friday the tight ends. Shafer and Barker join the program to represent the tight ends.
