Grizzly Soccer and Volleyball Release Schedule With Some MAJOR Schools Coming To Missoula

It was a busy week for fall teams in the University of Montana Athletics Department.

On Wednesday, the Big Sky Conference announced it would be featured on 4 nationally televised football games across the ESPN family of networks.

Following the Big Sky's release, Grizzly Soccer and Volleyball each released their 2025 fall schedules.

Grizzly Soccer's 2025 Schedule Highlighted by Baylor & Gonzaga

The back-to-back Big Sky champs constructed a heavy home schedule this fall. The Grizzlies will have 12 home matches this season against some top-tier talent.

The marquee gets are the Big 12's Baylor Bears and the Gonzaga Bulldogs.

Anytime Montana gets a power 4 conference team to come to Missoula, like Ohio State Soccer playing the Griz two years ago in front of a record crowd, it's a notable achievement.

Montana tied Ohio State in that match, by the way. 

Gonzaga is just two years removed from a West Coast Conference title and an NCAA Tournament berth.

Other notable home matches are the Seattle Redbirds, coached by former Griz assistant Julie Woodward, Washington State Cougars and Nevada Wolfpack.

Grizzly Volleyball

It's a lighter home schedule for Griz Volleyball. The non-conference slate features just one home tournament on the first weekend in September.

The Ellysen Invitational returns to Dahlberg Arena as the Griz welcome in the Oakland Golden Grizzlies for 2 matches and the North Dakota State Bison for one. Montana also travels to Spokane, Orem, Utah and Terre Haute, Indiana.
