Inside the Huddle: Griz Fans Take Over KGRZ Thursdays
Griz Sports KGRZ 92.7 FM & 1450 AM is rolling out new programming for the upcoming football season.
We're ecstatic to welcome the Griz Fan Pod onto Missoula's Sports Leader and rehash their radio show as Griz Fan Radio.
Who Are the Voices Behind Griz Fan Radio?
Griz Fan Radio is exactly what it sounds like. They're Griz fans talking Griz on a podcast.
Self-explanatory, right?
The voices behind the mic are City Councilman Mike Nugent, Official Realtor of Griz Athletics, Brint Wahlberg, recovering media mogul Kyle Sample, and 1095 chess rating star Luke Alford.
They're bringing knowledge, or lack thereof in some cases, and hot takes to Griz Nation.
What Makes Griz Fan Radio Different?
We love their material because it's unpolished, and I mean that in the nicest way possible. These guys don't change their voice up like a radio dork to sound extra professional on-air. They talk like you would sitting next to your buddy, drinking a beer, and watching the game.
We wanted something different on KGRZ. We have a great show in The Daily Drive with Ace Sauerwein, but we wanted a new angle for Griz coverage on the station.
The Voice of the Griz, Riley Corcoran, and I provide an awesome show Monday-Friday on KGRZ that gives an in-depth look from two University of Montana employees.
However, Griz Fan Radio will give you the fans' perspective and something unique.
Episode one starts tonight (9/4) at 6 pm and will air every Thursday through football season.
