OH NO! Cats Celebrate Brawl Of The Wild Victory By Dropping The Great Divide Trophy
Saturday's Brawl of the Wild was a nearly perfect afternoon for the Montana State Bobcats.
It pains me to write this.
The Cats capped off a perfect 12-0 regular season with an FBS win over New Mexico, an outright Big Sky Conference Championship, a number one overall seed in the FCS Playoffs and a Cat-Griz butt whooping.

Everything came up Bozeman on Saturday except for one post-game celebration moment.
After the game, the massive Great Divide Trophy was en route to meet the elated Cats. The trophy was cruising along on its cart and then OH NOOOOOOOO THERE IT GOES.
The Great Divide is a massive heap of trophy. It weighs a stunning 306 pounds - one of the heaviest in all of sports. Fun fact, the heaviest trophy in college athletics is the Fremont Cannon—the prize between UNLV and Nevada football clocks in at an astronomical 545 pounds.
Even if it's not the heaviest trophy in sports, the Great Divide checking in at over 300 pounds will do some damage. I was concerned for the field. Did the turf have a chunk taken out of it? Is there a large divot?

What if that thing had dropped on some guy's foot? Good lord, it would've annihilated every bone in your leg if it fell on you. Fortunately, it didn't but sheesh... that would have been bad.
Lastly, I wanted to make a joke about the Cats fumbling the trophy but I don't have a leg to stand on. The team I work for got waxed and I can't be talking crap.
Kudos to you, Bozeman.
