On last Friday's Daily Drive with Ace Sauerwein, Montana Grizzly Wide Receiver Keelan White called in for an end-of-season chat. White played in 57 career games over six seasons at the University of Montana scoring 14 touchdowns, including a 97-yard touchdown against Sacramento State in 2023 and the epic 2-point conversion against North Dakota State Bison.

How can anybody forget that play?

"But I really want to take that, shoot for the stars, and take that NFL shot first and see what happens. And then I can always land on the moon with the CFL (Canadian Football League," said White on the Daily Drive.

White began his process of shooting for professional ball by signing with an agent recently. The next step will be honing in on where/when he will train for the combine. The NFL is the goal but White is getting looks at the CFL level already. He was recently named one of the best Canadian college athletes.

But I asked the important question when we spoke last week: Where did the nickname "The Canadian Spider" come from?

"You know, something I started doing during fall camp last year, and you know, I'm a huge Spider-Man fan," explained White. "Like, crazy Spider-Man nerd... I'm always talking about Spider-Man, I've played the video games, seen all the movies, have all the, whatever, paraphernalia that Spider-Man has... Just something to have fun out there and, you know, kind of bring some identity to my game as well."

Alright, so he's a big Spider-Man fan. Who's his favorite Spider-Man? Tobey Maguire? Tom Holland?

NOPE... It's Andrew Garfield!

That's a hot take, Keelan.
