In Honor Of Monte’s Hall Of Fame Game, Here’s Our Top 7 College Mascots
Dear Monte,
Congratulations on your induction into the Mascot Hall of Fame. We are so thrilled that you will take your place among the all-time greats. If you're going to the game against Western Carolina, make sure you are representing our favorite grizzly bear with the merch below.
On today's Daily Drive With Ace Sauerwein, I decided to deliver my top 10 college football team names. I decided the "Tar Heels" of North Carolina is the best name, but then I thought "Who has the best mascot"? I removed Monte from the equation because we all love him too much. It would be biased to place him number one.

So here are my top 10 college football mascots (in no particular order).
Stanford Cardinal - The Tree
The tree is the funniest mascot in all of sports. Look at that face. Look at the human legs. Look at the human body you can clearly see through the leaves. Hilarious.
Oregon Ducks - The Duck
The Duck is a goofball with a terrific social media presence. Plus, he can ride a Harley Davidson. Plus, he has a great SportsCenter commercial.
Wisconsin Badgers - Bucky The Budger
Underrated! Bucky is a phenomenal mascot who doesn't get the lock he deserves. He also has a great "This is SportsCenter" commercial.
Michigan State Spartans: Sparty
Look at that guy. He's wearing that skirt like a gosh dang warrior. Is he wearing underwear?
Cal Golden Bears - Oski
How can you not love a chubby bear wearing a nice sweater? He's so happy.
BYU Cougars - Cosmo The Cougar
Cosmo has an ugly mug. There's no way around it but this guy can get down. He's a true dancer and entertainer.
Syracuse Orange - Otto
Another fat mascot on the list. Just a round orange ball with a big ole nose and human legs and arms.
