Thursday marked Montana's Pro Day - an afternoon for former Grizzly football players to showcase their athleticism ahead of the NFL Draft.

There were 6 Grizzlies who participated on Thursday.

  • Junior Bergen
  • Keelan White
  • Hayden Harris
  • Brandon Casey
  • Aaron Fontes
  • Nick Ostmo

Former Griz Tight End Cole Grossman was a late scratch, according to Skyline Sports.

After the workouts, I caught up with Junior Bergen to ask what goes into his preparation and training ahead of a pro day.

"It's a lot different than what you think," said All-Big Sky Returner Junior Bergen.

"Usually, all year round, I'm getting ready for football season. This time around I was getting ready for, obviously, shuttles and 40 [yard dash], vertical - stuff you dont't really do normally to get ready for football season."

Though it was different, Bergen was pleased to do something different.

"I'm glad I went through it and was able to adapt and be able to showcase my skills."

Compare pro day to game day

As someone who has never played football in front of thousands of fans, I have to assume that's as nerve-racking as it gets. Putting your skills to the test in front of NFL scouts has to be a close second, however.

"Earlier in the week was where I was most nervous," explained Bergen. "As the week started going down, I started feeling more comfortable with myself, with my training - just knew I had to go out and trust it."
