Missoula has really gone to the dogs.

By which, of course, I mean that the annual AKC All Breed Dog Show is back for four days at the Missoula County Fairgrounds!

The Five Valley Kennel Club Is Hosting Its Annual Dog Show This Week

I've actually never been to a dog show, but I have seen the movie Best in Show, so I can only assume that it's exactly the same.

According to NBC Montana, nearly 600 dogs are set to compete this year, including several of the top-ranked dogs in the country (who will then be on their way to the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York in just a few weeks).

And here's the cool part - it's totally free to go! There's no cost for admission to get into the All Breed Dog Show. Although, if you do go, you are asked to keep your own dog at home, as only dogs who are part of the competition will be allowed in. Makes sense - they don't want a mix-up where a dog in the stands runs out on stage and then causes problems for the other dogs. And they definitely don't want a situation where your dog runs up and then upstages all the other dogs with its showmanship and cuteness - that wouldn't be fair to those who actually meant to compete.

The event is going down at the Missoula County Fairgrounds from Thursday, June 2nd through Sunday, June 5th. You can find out more information about the Five Valley Kennel Club at their website.
