2024 is starting with some exciting changes for Missoula restaurants.

Last week we had the story that you might have missed over the holidays. It turns out the Catalyst Cafe and Espresso will be reopening this spring as Catalys2Go in the Radio Building on Main Street.

Some other news over the holidays was that the City Brew Coffee Shop located in the building at 400 Broadway closed. The name had been removed from the outside of the building and a sign on the door said the location was permanently closed. The good news, though, is that City Brew Coffee still has a location on Brooks St so you can visit them there.

When I saw that City Brew had vacated the spot on Broadway I immediately wondered what might be going in next. It's a prime location with proximity to everyone who works at St. Patrick's Hospital, not to mention, that building hosts several other businesses.

I wasn't left wondering for long. A friend of mine who works downtown noticed today that another coffee shop had a sign on their door. But this time the sign said that they were moving. Sure enough, they're going to be moving into City Brew Coffee's previous location.

I'm glad that Liquid Planet won't be moving far. From the sign on the door, it looks like they'll be open again in late February. This move comes as Missoulians anticipate the grand opening sometime in early January of the new Liquid Planet Grille on Brooks where Denny's used to be.

As the sign says, you can still get Liquid Planet at their courthouse location but don't forget about their locations inside Farmer's State Bank, Community Hospital, The Book Exchange, and at the airport. And the Liquid Planet Grille on Arthur Ave.
