In the small town of Townsend, Montana on March 17th, 1949 a future hit sitcom star was born. Many of you grew up watching him, but can you guess who this Montana native is?

The recent tragic loss of Suzanne Somers got me thinking of her career and one of her co-stars popped into my head. I had heard this successful actor was born in Montana, but I couldn't remember the details.

You might remember him playing the good guy Bobby Ewing in the massive drama series, Dallas. My generation remembers him playing the hard-working dad, Frank Lambert in the family sitcom series, Step By Step.

If you haven't figured it out yet, we're talking about Mr. Patrick Duffy. Patrick was born in Townsend, Montana in the late '40s. Even now Townsend, the country seat of Broadwater, only has a population of around two thousand people, so I can't imagine what it was like back in 1949. Patrick didn't stick around Montana too long. He later migrated to Washington and then later to Hollywood.

Patrick has an amazing career spanning over 45 years with appearances that range from starring roles in television to parts in major motion pictures.

Montana might be known more for television stars moving here to retire instead of television stars being born here and making it big, but we have a few sprinkled here and there. Just recently Great Falls native, Reggie Watts, was on the Joe Rogan podcast talking about his alien experience.
