Beavis and Butthead Have Been Laughing About Montana for 30 Years

It may be hard to believe, but tomorrow marks 30 years since MTV debuted "Beavis and Butthead." I can still remember taking a crash course in setting my VCR to record so that I could have every episode on demand. Even though most parents in those days despised the show. I would hold secret showings in my basement to the neighborhood kids. The show couldn't have come at a better time in my life. As a young kid growing up in the 90s, I TOO HAD AN OBSESSION with fire, hot chicks, and making fun of music videos.

Yeah, the jokes were dumb. The animation wasn't the greatest. But...(tee hee, I said BUTT) like it or not, these two defined a generation of misfit kids. You couldn't spend a minute on the playground without hearing someone scream "I AM THE GREAT CORNHOLIO." In fact, yours truly took his very first date to the biggest movie of the year in 1996... Beavis and Butthead: Do America... And people say that romance is dead. Sheesh!

When we look back on the last 30 years, it is clear that Beavis, Butthead, and their creator Mike Judge all had a place in their hearts for Montana's infamous BUTTE...or BUTT!

Beavis and Buthead even had made a friend with a Montana resident, named David Letterman. Beavis and Butthead appeared many times on the Late Show with David Letterman. Always ready to make a "BUTT" joke. Watch as Butthead imagines himself being David Letterman (and Beavis as Paul Shaffer) doing the infamous "Top 10 Countdown" from their "Home Office in Butt, Montana."
