Grizzly Star Defender Enters Transfer Portal
The mysterious transfer portal claims another Montana Grizzly. In the week after the season, three Grizzly starters(ish) have declared for the transfer portal.
We will keep track of all the players declaring to leave in this article and will update as more names come across the wire.
The latest player was starting linebacker Riley Wilson
"I am forever grateful to Missoula, the University, Coach Hauck and Coach Cooper. Many will preach family values but few can ever deliver quite like Montana," Wilson tweeted in his goodbye message.
Wilson played two seasons with the Griz intermittently battling injuries during his time in Missoula. He played a total of 26 games in a Griz uniform racking up 8.5 sacks in 2023 and 4.5 more this season. Wilson racked up 3 sacks against Northern Colorado alone.
Originally from Prosper, Texas, Wilson spent his first three seasons at Hawai'i with the Rainbow Warriors. Since declaring for the transfer portal this morning, Wilson announced he received offers from the Arizona Wildcats (Big 12), Houston Cougars (Big 12), Washington State Cougars (PAC-12) and UTEP Miners (Mountain West).
