ESPN College Gameday Crew Gifts Signed Helmet to Montana

The copper and gold Grizzly uniforms are the gift that keeps on giving. Or they at least remain in the forefront of Grizzly news.

Before we get into the gift that ESPN College Gameday bestowed upon the University of Montana, let's give you a quick update on the throwback uniform auction: You guys broke the auction!

The new auction website is up and running, but there was so much web traffic that Griz fans freakin' broke the auction site. Well done, Griz Nation. Well done!

ESPN College Gameday Sends A Gift Back To the University of Montana

The guys at ESPN College Gameday loved the Grizzlies' throwback look as much as the rest of us. Jessica Sims featured the uniforms on Saturday's show. I'm sure you've seen it, but just in case, here they were.

Now, the College Gameday crew signed a Slobberin' Bear helmet that will be auctioned off at a later date.

Rece Davis, Nick Saban, Pat McAfee, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, and Stanford Steve all autographed the golden dome of Otto the bear. How awesome is that? I talked about how the Copper and Gold uniforms will be excellent additions to the man cave, but this might be the ULTIMATE addition to your man cave.

We'll keep you up to date on when the helmet will be available for purchase.

I'm still holding on to hope that College Gameday will come to Missoula for this year's Cat-Griz game. Everything is stacking up for a weak FBS slate the week of Cat-Griz, so here's to hoping ESPN makes the right call.
