Top 5 Best South Dakota State Jackrabbits To Play In The NFL
Typically, I write about Montana Grizzly Football. I do all sorts of lists, like a gallery of the last 7 playoff appearances, schedules, all-time statistical leaders and most notable NFL draft picks.
We're shifting gears today and looking at the best South Dakota State Jackrabbits all-time.
Adam Vinatieri
This list isn't in any particular order, but there is a strong case for Adam Vinatieri as the best NFL Jackrabbit. He kicked not one but two Super Bowl game winners. Oh, and those game winners just happened to spur the greatest modern NFL dynasty in the Brady/Belichick Patriots.
Jim Langer
Jim Langer is a Pro Football Hall of Famer with the Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings. He was a 6-time pro bowler, 3-time all-pro, and 2-time Super Bowl Champion in 1972 and 1973. Langer played on the undefeated 14-0 1972 Dolphins led by Don Shula, Bob Griese and Larry Csonka.
Dallas Goedert
It's another Super Bowl Champion. Dallas Goedert is in his 8th year with the Philadelphia Eagles. Goedert won Super Bowl 59 last year with the Eagles and reached Super Bowl 57 a few years ago. He's been toward the top of the NFL tight end rankings over the last handful of years, too.

Adam Timmerman
Another offensive lineman and another Super Bowl champ in Adam Timmerman. The Cherokee, Iowa native played in 187 games, 126 with the St. Louis Rams and 61 with the Green Bay Packers. Timmerman won Super Bowl 31 with the Pack and Super Bowl 34 with the Rams. Not too bad for a 7th-round draft pick, wouldn't you say?
Tucker Kraft
I'm biased on this one, as a Green Bay Packers fan, but Tucker Kraft makes the list for the breakout season he had before a season-ending knee injury.
