There is no denying the passion and loyalty of University of Montana Lady Griz basketball fans.

To further the feel-good, Lady Coach Brian Holsinger and his staff have created more public relation events to provide fans more opportunities to get to know the players off the basketball court. And judging by last year's turnout, this event is a winner.

There's no need to wait until the first game to get your first glimpse of the 2022-23 University of Montana Lady Griz. You can meet and mingle with the Montana women’s basketball team and staff at the second annual Lady Griz Basketball and Brunch. This year's brunch is set for UM Homecoming weekend, Sunday, September 25, 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Last year's inaugural brunch was held at Stave and Hoop in downtown Missoula. The food and atmosphere were fabulous, and the packed house really seemed to be enjoying the entire program. So much so, that after just one year, a sellout, there were obviously growing pains.

This year's Basketball and Brunch with the Lady Griz will be in a larger venue, the Bitterroot/Blackfoot Room at the DoubleTree Hotel.

For $40 you’ll get a full brunch buffet and time with the Lady Griz coaches and players in a more intimate and personal setting than most fans are accustomed to. AND You don’t need to be a member of the Lady Griz Hoop Club to attend, or a season-ticket holder, or, well, check any other box that would exclude anyone who is interested. All are welcome.

Hosted by Riley Corcoran, the Voice of the Griz (and Lady Griz when called up), the event  will feature an in-depth look at the team and the season ahead with Coach Holsinger, plus an introduction to all the players on this year’s squad. Each player (whether they want to or not) gets some one-on-one microphone time with Riley during the program.

So, bigger room or not, if it sold out once, there's a good chance it could sell out again! To reserve your spots, contact new Lady Griz Director of Operations, Haley Simental,  (haley.simental@mso.umt.edu). Tickets must be reserved by Monday, September 19. You can pay upon ordering or at the door the day of the brunch.

Can't wait to socialize with the team and fans again this year!
