The Spartans would add a second score to take a 14-0 lead, but Butte would not be out done and add a pair of scores on back to back drives to tie it up a seven.
The two teams would come out of the locker room to start the third quarter with the Spartans leading 28-17. The Bulldogs would score first in the third quarter with a 35 yard catch and run to pull within four of the Spartans. Within less then a minute Sentinel answered with a 52 yard catch and run to put the Spartans up 35-24. Butte would not be done offensively as they would score off a quarterback keeper to put the Bulldogs within five after a missed two point conversion.
Sentinel would cap the game off with a score with 2:52 left in the game to give themselves a 41-30 win over the Butte Bulldogs.
